San Francisco, CA — August 16, 2003 — The 18th Annual Miss Asian America Pageant, a celebration of Asian beauty, culture, and talent, dazzled the audience at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Nineteen accomplished young women graced the stage, showcasing their remarkable talents and cultural pride. The coveted title of Miss Asian America was awarded to 22 year old Charlene Wang of Hercules, CA, who was also crowned Miss Talent.

The pageant also celebrated other accomplished women: Anu Gill secured the titles of Miss Asian First Princess and Miss Asian California, Annie Chang earned the titles of Miss Asian Second Princess and Miss Asian San Francisco, Sue Yang was crowned Miss Asian Third Princess, Jennifer Tseng shone as Miss Congeniality and Miss Scholastic Achievement, and Sharon Wang was recognized for her exceptional community service as Miss Community Service and Miss Asian Korea.

Since her pageant victory, Charlene Wang has become a prominent figure in holistic health and wellness. Based in Colorado Springs, CO, Charlene is an Eastern-style Functional Medicine Registered Dietitian with extensive clinical experience and a unique approach combining eastern and western nutritional science. She empowers individuals towards optimal well-being.

Charlene’s journey from pageant queen to holistic health luminary is a testament to her unyielding commitment to empowering individuals towards holistic well-being. Her story serves as an inspiration to countless others on their own paths to optimal health and wellness.
