San Francisco, CA — August 4, 2018 — The 34th Annual Miss Asian Global & Miss Asian America Pageant, hosted at the Herbst Theatre, was a spectacular celebration of diversity, talent, and empowerment. Among the 22 exceptional delegates, Uchka Jimsee, a 17-year-old Mongolian from San Francisco, CA, was crowned Miss Asian Global. Crowned as the pageant’s youngest-ever winner, Uchka Jimsee also holds the distinction of being the first-ever Mongolian queen in the history of the competition, a significant milestone in the pageant’s legacy of celebrating diversity and empowering young women from various backgrounds. While Sophia Ng, a 26-year-old Chinese-American from San Francisco, CA, was bestowed the title of Miss Asian America, she was not able to complete her reign. Darae Jun, a 27-year-old Korean from Berkeley, CA, was designated as Miss Asian America in March of 2019.

Special awards were presented to outstanding delegates, including Aileen Bui (Miss Asian Global Second Princess and Miss Asian Best in Cultural Attire), Kimberly Tom (Miss Asian San Francisco, Miss Asian Global Third Princess, and Miss Asian Congeniality), Haotian Deng (Miss Asian Talent), Eranthe Mitome (Miss Asian Photogenic), Vanessa Guo (Miss Asian Scholastic Achievement), Lexy Anderson (Miss Asian S.T.E.M.), Jaclyn Mariano (Miss Asian Community Service), Sheila Sun (Miss Asian Entrepreneur and Miss Asian Imagine Talks), and Kathy Zhou (Miss Asian Social Media).

With a shared vision of empowerment, the pageant celebrated the unique perspectives and accomplishments of each delegate, fostering an atmosphere of support and inspiration.
