San Francisco, CA — August 2, 2014 — The 29th Annual Miss Asian Global & Miss Asian America Pageant, held at the Palace of Fine Arts, showcased the extraordinary talents of 25 remarkable contestants from diverse backgrounds.

Emma Marriott, a 20-year-old hailing from Stanford, CA, captured the titles of both Miss Asian Global and Miss Asian Talent, showcasing her exceptional abilities and cultural pride. Jennifer Chung, 21, from San Jose, CA, secured the coveted titles of Miss Asian America and Miss Women’s Empowerment, standing as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring young women.

Other notable winners included Arienne Calingo as Miss Asian California, May Ling Phyu as Miss Asian San Francisco and Miss Scholastic Achievement, and Maggie Schoenholtz as Miss Asian Teen and Miss Scholastic Achievement. Catherine Ho received the titles of Miss Asian First Princess and Miss Community Service, while Jeni Nguyen was recognized as Miss Asian Second Princess and Miss Congeniality. Sunaina Singh achieved Miss Asian Third Princess and Miss People’s Choice, and Jensine Chen excelled as Miss Entrepreneur and Miss Women’s Empowerment. Susan Lin was honored as Miss Photogenic, and Tunya Fusapnirun impressed in the Best in Ethnic Costume category. Elaine Sung was acknowledged for Miss Community Service.

The Miss Asian Global & Miss Asian America Pageant continues to serve as a powerful platform for empowerment and cultural celebration, recognizing the achievements of exceptional young women.

Since her reign, Emma Marriott Co-Founded Atomic and was featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2023. She’s a former machine learning engineer at Google, specializing in large-scale systems for YouTube and Waymo. Recognized for academic contributions in ACM, she is passionate about privacy and cybersecurity. Emma holds Master’s degree in Machine Learning & AI and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University.

Today, Jennifer Chung (Jenn) is the founder & CEO of Embody, multivitamins for healthy glowing skin. With roots in the beauty industry since 2007, Jenn gained insights from her mother’s successful beauty brand Forever Beaumore. In 2018, Jenn made a strategic move to Southern California, developing cutting-edge ingestible skincare formulas with her team. They’re revolutionizing skincare practices, believing that true beauty starts from within.
