San Francisco, CA — August 27, 1994 — The 10th Annual Miss Asian America Pageant, held at the Fresno Convention Center, was a celebration of excellence and diversity. Among the remarkable 17 talented and culturally diverse contestants from across the United States, Jane Park, an 18-year-old with Korean heritage from Granada Hills, CA, was crowned as Miss Asian America.  Zarin Maneck Dastur was named Miss Asian First Princess, Miss Asian California, and also showcased her exceptional talent. Marie Villatuya dazzled as Miss Asian Second Princess and Miss Asian San Francisco, while Liang Ni captured hearts as Miss Asian Third Princess. Tasha Lynn Toda was recognized for her congeniality, and Reena H. Patel earned the title of Miss Scholastic Achievement.

In the years since her Miss Asian America reign, Jane Park Smith has become a prominent figure known for her achievements, acting career and advocacy.  She graduated from UCLA with a major in Communication Studies and worked as a news reporter in Florida. Jane’s acting career took off in 2001 and has appeared in films like Insurgent and Quarantine. Her advocacy work, including support for the Global Volunteer Network and the Katrina Family Relocation Project, earned her the Presidential Service Award. Jane is also an accomplished author, wellness advocate, and martial artist, holding black belts in Taekwondo and Mixed Martial Arts. She resides in Los Angeles and continues to inspire others with her multifaceted achievements.
